2 Bedroom Cabin in Prospect

This is a custom-built, two bedroom, one bath home located in the rural Cascade Mountains of Southern Oregon. It is nestled on a wooded acre near the town of Prospect. (population 500). The home is sided with rough-sawn cedar and the interior walls are done with cedar and pine. The Great Room is highlighted by a lodgepole pine spiral staircase. The visitor is welcomed by a comfortable front porch with Adirondack chairs for seating and there is a large patio area and fire pit behind the cabin for outdoor entertaining. However, this is not a party cabin and guests are limited to the number of persons agreed upon in the reservation.
The cabin is not suitable for children under the age of twelve.
The interior is tastefully designed with relaxation and comfort in mind. Visitors will feel at ease surrounded by natural wood walls and custom woodworking throughout. The master bedroom has a king-size Sleep Number bed by Select Comfort. The smaller upstairs bedroom has a Sleep Number queen-size bed.
There is internet access at the cabin as well as local TV programming, streaming, DVD, and turntable for a large record collection.
The grounds are well-kept, encircled by a young ponderosa pine stand. If you are looking for a peaceful place to get away from your hectic life you will find it here. There is no phone but there is cell phone coverage for most carriers.

Summary: My husband and I had a great stay at the Red Blanket Cabin. The location is close to the trails we wanted to hike, and coming back to the cabin after hiking was very relaxing and pleasant. The backyard and patio are quiet and private with beautiful landscaping. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, flatware, pots, pans, cutting boards, etc. We really appreciated all the custom woodwork that make this cabin quite unique.

Summary: We stayed at this beautiful cabin as part of a family road trip. It is amazing! This beautiful hand crafted cabin is furnished with everything you need to be comfortable and pampered during your stay. We slept in very comfortable beds, enjoyed the front porch lounging area and walked the nature trail around the cabin property. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make tasty meals and then relaxed in the evenings listening to music from the record collection or watched a movie. I highly recommend this lovely cabin located in a cute little town but close to Crater Lake and other outdoor attractions (hikes, waterfalls). Very clean and well furnished, we truly wished we could have stayed longer! Jesse and Samantha are outstanding hosts and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

Summary: This home was a wonderful stay! The cabin was well stocked, had beautiful surroundings and deer who came to visit. We were able to rent snowmobiles from diamond lake lodge and go to crater lake which was amazing. We used the grill and enjoyed records from their vast collection. Highly recommend!!

Summary: This cabin stay was a dream! The kitchen was well stocked, the downstairs bedroom was spacious, and the bathroom jacuzzi was amazing. The outdoor patio area was great although we did have a tiny bit of trouble figuring out the gas barbecue. The upstairs bedroom was quant, had all the essentials, but it had an interesting energy. Did appreciate the beautiful spiral staircase though. The space was kept really clean and communication with the owners was clear, timely, and pleasant. Love the proximity to so many other things to do, although the winter dreariness kept us cozy inside the house because it was so well heated and warm. We would definitely come back any time of the year!
